last week while lepakin wit my bandmates we started talkin bout all the cartoons we use to watch when we were kids...hahaha

well anyway's i was tryin to remember a series that i was hooked on but i cld quite remember the name..so when i was back home i did some searchin and ???

Eureka!!! i found it...SWAT KATS...

this series really brings back memories..use to be addicted to it..watched it diligently everyday...

Impending Doom New album!!!!

just had a listen to Impending Doom's new album

'The Serpent Servant'..

it was really great...i didnt really dig thr last album nailed.dead.risen coz of the very inaudible Vocal style..however the new album is a change to a more guttural style vocal which was a very welcomed change...its sounds much more crisp overall n very well recorded ( was recorded in Tim Lambesis (As I Lay dying) Lambesis Studio )...

on the down side, it lack the speed associated with Brutal death metal as can be heard in Hate Eternal or Nile..rather this albums compared wit the previous release seem to be goin towards a more slower groove death metal style n abit of a modern deathcore feel to it..

Overall its a great release n a must for fans of death metal...

im Definately gonna be listenin to it alot...haha

was on the Keretapi Takda Maju 2day..on the way bck frm coll..when the train stopped at KL Central she got on n i saw her!!!
well she was not drop dead gorgeous..but she had the most beautiful smile...
i wish i knew her name...she just smiled at every one who met eyes wit her...
she gav me a smile n i was hooked...hehe
we exchanged a few stare's n smiles till sadly she got off 2 station b4 me..sigggh
pondering....will i see her again????

Scar

watched this movie yesterday..its 1 of the best Psychological horror i've watched in awhile...this is definetly rite next to movies such as Saw and Hostel...

the plot overall is really good..and the flashback scene's are very effective..plus they really look authentic n creepy..

the gore n blood are just about nice...although more can never hurt ( its a horror movie ) hahaha

the only thing i found lackin was tat the movie was abit rushed n cld have been abit more longer..it just had a very rushed feel to it n more time cld hav been spent on characther development..

Angela Bettis plays an amazing role as the lead actress..her emotions n action really hav a gud bit of realism in them..(including the screams )

this is definetly a must watch for Psychological horror fans...

Death Metal

Death metal has been a very big part of my life..

its the music that i relate 2 n love the most...

but many ppl dun get it..its to scary or just plain weird to them..( judging frm the name itself )

well i must say it may b an acquired taste to some,

but for me i fell in love with it the 1st time i heard death metal...

its definetly a very unique form of music, but 1 things for sure its far better then all the crap thats being played on the radio nowdays...

compare it to all the stupid pop stuff out thr, 3 chords n 1 melody..with no dynamics n real complexity to it!!!

come on, i bet my grandma cld play all the dumb songs that r on the radio now days..

and the lyrics are plan nonsense..( sex,booz, money,girls )

like thr's no more important issues.. not to say death metal n metal in general dun hav stupid lyrics..but thr's much more quality in the lyrics in metal anyday compared to the stuff on the radio..

Death Metal has evolved to an unbelieveable number of genre's...1 of my fav is Melodic Death Metal ( In Flames being my fav band of all time)...and stuff like technical death metal play by bands such as ( dying fetus, meshuggah, etc ) are so complex n sick..cant believe ppl can even say death metal is not real music...then thr are bands like cannibal corpse who are increadble musicians who hav like sum of the most difficult riffs i have ever seen in death metal...n though thr lyrics are mostly gore based, they explain thr lyrics as a form of art which i totally get..

i always believe that music is an expression of the soul and an outlet to express issues n things that we face in life..(not bullshit bout partyin n gettin laid )

its funny how ppl say death metal's all bout gore n death...that may hav been at its humble beginnings but it has evolved to various issues from politics ( Napalm Death, Dying Fetus, phobia, etc)

to relationships and inner struggles...( which is a more prominent feautre this days overall in Heavy Metal music )

And even Christianity n God..(Mortification, Impending Doom, etc )

i know i probably am abit bias as to my view on pop music n my love for death metal..but wth, death metal is a part of my life n i'll b listenin n playin it till my grave..

and the worst part is all the bullshit that Deathcore has dun to tarnish Death metal..with the exception of a few really good band (The Black Dahlia Murder , All shall perish,With Blood Comes Cleansing , etc ) its really sad that deathcore has been on the rise in last few years and although it has gotten alot of media attention, its just seems to be another overrated genre n lately has been pushed down the ranks to all this young school kids (i hav no disrespect for them ) but its a fact..

the worst part is how deathcore is becoming a way of connecting with scene & indie fashion..

( wat a nigtmare for us death metal fans )

are we on the verge of havin scene kids with thr coloured shirts, shoes n weird sunglasses, etc polute our death metal gigs...

im not condemmin scene kids or ppl who listen to deathcore, rather its sad that many of them only know deathcore n the new bands now days ( such as Bring me the horizon )

but they probably would not hav heard of (Mortification, dismember, entombed, hate eternal, divine empire, malevolent creation , bolt thrower, obituary, etc )

common if u wanna remotely even like a genre thats called DEATHcore or a band that plays it,

u better FREAKIN know its roots..(dun b a poser plz )

i recently read an article in malaysia today..its amazing the rubbish that we hav in our country..they say u hav freedom of speech..wat the heck do they mean when u can only say wat they allow u to say?..if they dun like wat we say , The great ISA will be hurled down ur path n u'd probably end up in jail..is that FREEDOM?

No respect for the seperation of power..rule of law is disregarded...
DESTROYING THE STRUCTURE FROM WITHIN!!!!

but they can do wat ever the heck they want?

The Betrayal ( A Prelude ) :

They preach freedom,but all they really are are lying thiefs.
Shouting peace when they practice war..
Is this what we’ve come to?

Within a system that hides its lies in plain sight,covered with promises not kept..

WATCHMEN!!!

Being an avid fan of graphic novels n in particular the work of the one n only Mr.Alan Moore it was great n yet interesting to know how the movie adaptation of the award winning graphic novel would fare..one which i need mention was one of the best i hav read..

i went to the cinema with mix expectations hoping dearly to god that the movie wld not be a poor adaptation of a great graphic novel...LOL

Awesome!!! the movie was as beautifully crafted as the book...not lackin in anyway..

the directors did a good job of includin most nearly everthin to pin point precision inline with the original story line...the flashback scenes were well placed n went nicely wit the flow of the movie..

not only was it inline wit the original story..but the writers added in sum of thr own twist to give a logical n yet creative conclusion to the story ( if u are not to familiar wit alan moore's graphic novel , u'll hav to read it to understand wat i mean ) he tends to leave certain parts of the story hangin for the reader to make your own conclusion...

unfortunetly, most ppl who watched the movie came out not 2 happy n not fully understandin the story...frm what i gather many had nvr read the graphic novel n basically in my opinion knowin m'sians wld hav gone expectin another X-Men type movie..well sorry ppl..

Watchmen is nottin like tat..its a politically set story revolving around masked vigilantes ( Not Superheroes ) and will only appeal to the avid grahic novel reader...and ppl who love politics..hahahaha

Overall i wld giv it a 9/10

An a warning - for fans only

ps.if u hav nvr read a grahic novel in ur life plz give watchmen a try..

i promise u wil not be dissapointed!!!!
