May

the movie starts of with a nice bit of flashback on which does not go to deep into the story..just enough the give the viewer a feel of the main character..
Angela Bettis does an awesome job portraying 'May'
(the main character)..
her actions are so organic and realistic..it so believe that the viewer feels for the lonely Girl trapped in the a womens body..that insecure little girl who never had a chance 2 grow up..
her job as a Veterinarian's assistant shows how she treats death with a careless attitude..she cuts her hands for fun.showing us her attempts to know that she can feel something..because deep down she's just wants people to look at her and take notice that she exist..
as her world comes crumbling down,
the man she loves walks out because he thinks she is to weird..
Her lesbian co-worker who is only interested to use her as one of her one-night stands..
even her cat does not want to b near her..
she finally realises that if she cannot find a friend, that she just has to make one.
May goes on a rampage with a Icebox on a trolley ironically on Halloween..
and one by one she takes what she liked from each individual she knew..
finally back in her apartment, she sews together the body parts, in a futile attempt to have the friend she never had..
yet in the end she realises the Friend she has made still cant see her.
and we then see that little girl in her desperate hour takes a scissor and takes out her own eyeball and in agony she screams with bloody hands she places the eyeball on her "new friends eye socket"..and screams look at me, look at me

if your a true fan of Horror, then this is a movie you should watch..
the development of the characters and the story is very natural and not rushed and yet the movie still keeps us tuned in.
the gore works well complimenting the story and not overpowering it..
there is no annoying back story or long winded introduction to any of the characters..
the story just plays out like we were watching 'May' as she goes through her life..
i wld give it a 9/10
